Designing Dynamic Learning Events
  • DDLE presentation

This is the main presentation for DDLE. It is a PowerPoint and clicking through have been disabled - it should be navigated with the buttons.

  • FTP Tutorial - Accelerated Learning

The infamous Fairy Tale Princess tutorial that utilizes the Accelerated Learning model using music for teaching the principles of using an FTP client. It's old, so it really doesn't apply today; we can usually FTP using internet explorer. But it was HIGHLY successful. Hopefully, the music will play!

And remember, the waiting periods were designed for 56k dial up - it was far ahead of its time. This tutorial is over 8 years old!

  • Accelerated Learning Presentation

This is an Accelerated Learning powerpoint tutorial.

  • Games and Activities

This is a self-executing zip file containing various games and activities for the DDLE class. These games and activities can be used to develop other similar games for other classes.

One popular game is to use the questions and keys to have groups compete for prizes or play money. (You would be surprised how silly people get competing for play money.) Draw a target on the ground using masking tape. Use a bean bag of some type as the ball. Make a marker for contestants to stand behind. Make a point system out of the target areas - 5, 10, 20, 50. We typically play til 250 pts.

    1. The team picks a question to answer.
    2. One team member throws the bean bag on the target. This is how much the question is worth.
    3. The team answers the question; if they get it right, they get that number of points.
    4. If they miss, the other team gets to answer the question for the same number of points.
    5. Each team takes a turn each time; each team member gets to throw (no ringers!)
